- 1982-1984
Construction and Founding of the Hotel
Fritz Hilgers began construction of the hotel in 1982. It opened in 1984 under its former name, the Eifel-Hotel.
- 1989
Construction of the tower, including the globe
The tower further transforms the house's iconic appearance, making it undoubtedly one of its highlights.
- 2000
Completion of the addition with 6 more rooms
The modern rooms 8, 9, 19, 20, 28, and 29 round out the hotel. All of them have balconies.
- 2019
Passing the torch to the next generation
In 2019, a new chapter began in our hotel’s history: When the founder retired, he handed the hotel over to his wife and children. As part of the succession process, the hotel was renamed Design Hotel Euskirchen.
- 2024
Opening of our new hotel bar
With great attention to detail and an eye for modern design, our establishment is adding a new chapter to its story. Our new bar combines an elegant atmosphere with relaxed hospitality. A new favorite spot for our guests.

Construction of our hotel terrace
With the construction of the terrace, we have added a stylish outdoor oasis to our hotel. This is another step on our journey to make your stay even more unforgettable.
