Is advance payment required?

No.  You can pay for your stay as usual when you check in or check out. We accept cash as well as major credit and debit cards. If you’d prefer to pay in advance, that’s also possible - for example, via PayPal or credit card when booking directly through our hotel website.

From what time can I check in?

Accepted Answer

You can check in at the Design Hotel Euskirchen starting at 3:00 p.m. Your room will be available from that time onward. The front desk is staffed 24 hours a day, so even a late arrival is no problem. If you arrive earlier, you can drop off your luggage at the hotel before 3:00 PM. You can also park your car in our hotel parking lot beforehand. If you’d like to check into your room earlier, we offer an early check-in service for a fee.

By what time do I need to check out?

Check-out is available until 11:00 a.m. on the day of departure. If you would like to stay in your room longer, you can ask at our front desk about a late check-out. This is subject to availability and may incur an additional charge.

What is the cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

The following cancellation policy generally applies to direct bookings at Design Hotel Euskirchen: Free cancellation until 6:00 p.m. on the day of arrival. Exception: For our “Short Getaway with Design” package, free cancellation is only possible up to 2 days before arrival (6:00 p.m.). Alternatively, we also offer free rebooking. If the cancellation is not made by the deadline, we will charge 100% of the total stay price. In the event of verifiable circumstances beyond your control, please contact us directly so we can find a solution.

Can you accommodate room preferences?

Accepted Answer

Yes - you can request your favorite themed room when you make your reservation.  Rooms are assigned based on availability. Therefore, we cannot guarantee a specific room in every case.

Are children 3 years old and under free? And are cribs available?

Accepted Answer

Yes, children up to and including 3 years of age stay with us free of charge in their parents' room, provided they use the existing beds or sleep in a crib. Please specify the number and ages of the children traveling with you when you make your reservation so that we can make the best possible arrangements for your stay.

Are there air-conditioned rooms?

Accepted Answer

Yes, some of our rooms are equipped with air conditioning. Since only a limited number of these rooms are available, we recommend that you specify your preference when making your reservation. Rooms will be assigned based on availability. Regardless, our hallways, the front desk, and the breakfast room are air-conditioned, so you can enjoy a comfortable stay in the public areas even on warm days.

For business travelers: Are statements of coverage accepted?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we accept cost coverage statements from companies and government agencies. Please email us the fully completed letter of financial coverage before your arrival so that we can review it in a timely manner and add it to your reservation. The letter of financial coverage should include all relevant details, particularly the guest’s name, the dates of stay, and the costs to be covered (e.g., lodging and/or breakfast). If you have any questions, our front desk team will be happy to assist you.

Are dogs allowed?

Yes, dogs are welcome at the Design Hotel Euskirchen. Please let us know when you make your reservation that you will be traveling with a dog so that we can make the necessary arrangements for your stay. We charge the following for dog accommodation: small dogs up to 35 cm at the shoulder: €10 per stay; larger dogs: €15 per stay

Is there parking at the hotel?

Accepted Answer

Yes, our hotel guests have access to free on-site parking directly at the hotel. The use of these parking spaces is included in the room rate. If you are arriving in a larger vehicle (e.g., a truck or Sprinter), please let us know when you make your reservation. We’ll be happy to assign you a suitable parking space in front of our hotel. In addition, covered parking spaces are available to our guests in our carport across from the hotel.

Can I charge my electric car?

Yes, an 11-kW wallbox is available in our hotel parking lot for charging your electric vehicle. The charging cost is 35 cents per kWh. You can easily pick up the RFID card required to activate the charging station at our front desk. If you have any questions about using the charging station, our front desk team will be happy to assist you.

Is there a place to store bicycles?

Yes, our guests can use our lockable garage to safely store their bicycles and e-bikes.

Can I charge my e-bike?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can charge your e-bike during your stay. Charging e-bike batteries is permitted only in your hotel room under your supervision. Before using the e-bike, you must read and sign the relevant instructions at the front desk. Please contact our front desk team for more information.

You can enjoy our extensive breakfast buffet during the following hours: Monday: 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Tuesday through Friday: 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Saturday & Sunday: 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.Holidays: 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Yes, that's no problem. Our breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. If you have any special requests or food intolerances, please feel free to let us know in advance or during your stay. Our breakfast team will be happy to assist you.

No, we do not serve lunch or dinner at our hotel. Our dining options consist solely of our extensive breakfast buffet in the morning. We’d be happy to provide you with recommendations at the front desk for restaurants and cafés in the area that are easily accessible on foot or by car.
